April 28th is National Day of Mourning to remember the workers who died on the job. Find ways to show support in your area below:

Niagara Falls
A ceremony will be held at Niagara Falls city hall, 4310 Queen St., at 10:30 a.m. at the memorial near the front door. Niagara Regional Labour Council representatives, Mayor Jim Diodati, members of city council and the community will be attending.
Flags will be flown at half-mast at city facilities.
St. Catharines
Multiple ceremonies are happening in St. Catharines. They include:
• At 7:30 a.m., at the monument dedicated to the fallen Welland Canal workers, at Lock 3 on Welland Canals Parkway — west side of the canal.
• At 8 a.m., under Garden City Skyway, on Welland Canals Parkway — west side of the canal, under the bridge.
• At 4 p.m., at the monument at St. Catharines city hall, 50 Church St.
Welland
The ceremony will be held at the Welland Canal monument in Merritt Park, 151 King St., at 2 p.m.
Thorold
Two ceremonies are happening in Thorold.
One event happens in Port Robinson in memory of Robyn Lafleur, Esquire Canada Explosion site (1999), 125 South St. N., at 3 p.m.
Another event is happening at the monument at Niagara Region headquarters, 1815 Sir Isaac Brock Way, at 5:15 p.m.
Niagara-on-the-Lake
A ceremony happens at the monument at Centennial Arena on Four Mile Creek Road in Virgil at 9:15 a.m.
Fort Erie
A ceremony happens at the monument at Fort Erie town hall, 1 Municipal Centre Dr., at 11:45 a.m.
Port Colborne
The Port Colborne event happens at the monument located at H.H. Knoll Lakeview Park on Sugarloaf Street, at 1 p.m.
